Installation & First Launch

Since this app is distributed outside the App Store, a macOS confirmation prompt will appear on first launch.
Please follow the steps below to allow it.

If a Warning Appears

If you see "Cannot verify developer", please click "Cancel" once.

"KeyRemapHyper" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

Right-Click to Open

Right-click (Secondary click) the app icon and select "Open" from the menu.

The confirmation dialog will appear again, but this time an "Open" button will be available. Click it to launch the app.

Initial Accessibility Permissions

This app requires "Accessibility" permissions to modify keyboard input.
You will be guided to settings on launch, but if you skipped it, follow these steps to enable it manually.

    Open System Settings

    Open Apple Menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.

    Turn ON KeyRemapHyper

    Find KeyRemapHyper in the list and toggle the switch to ON.

    Confirm Permission

    You may be asked for your password or Touch ID. Enter your Mac login credentials to verify.
    Once enabled, the app will start working immediately.
